The Group achieves its aims by:
distributing a quarterly Magazine which provides information for members and a forum for the exchange of ideas
spreading information about consumer matters, often through local press and radio
involving members in surveys, information-gathering and projects. Informal projects meetings are held regularly and members are welcome to attend and suggest subjects of interest.
Making representations to relevant individuals and organisations
Lobbying local councillors and members of parliament when appropriate
Directly participating in local and national consultative bodies
Networking and cooperating with other local groups and the National Consumer Federation
Services Register - maintaining a list of firms and traders who provide good or satisfactory services recommended by individual members
Assisting members to seek redress.
